Post-BBL Recovery Process: Stages and How Does the Process Progress?
First 1–2 Weeks: The most critical period
• Sitting is prohibited. Applying direct pressure to the buttocks reduces the adhesion of fat cells.
A special sitting pillow (BBL pillow) should be used (only to apply pressure to the thighs).
• Lying on the back is prohibited – either face down or on the side.
• Swelling, bruising, edema and tenderness are normal.
• A compression garment (corset) should be worn (provides support to the areas where liposuction has been performed).
• Painkillers and antibiotics should be taken as recommended by the doctor.
3–6 Weeks: Gradual recovery process
• Light walks are recommended (increases blood circulation, supports healing).
• The figure gradually begins to sit down.
Sitting is allowed with the BBL pillow, but still for limited periods.
• Exercise is prohibited, heavy lifting and movements that strain the buttocks should be avoided.
• The subcutaneous fat adheres to 50-70% of the body during this period.
• The use of a corset usually continues until the 6th week.
6-8 Weeks: Return to normal life
• Sitting directly on the buttocks becomes free.
Daily activities can be resumed.
Light sports activities can be started (walking, light cardio).
• The shape becomes clear, the body lines settle.
The corset is usually left at this point, with the approval of the doctor.
3-6 Months: Final results
• Most of the injected fat is the surviving cells during this period.
The buttocks are now less swollen and feel more natural.
Sports, sexual activity, and full daily life are fully resumed.
The final shape is usually seen in the 6th month.

• Active return to social life can begin after 6 weeks.
• Sports and active life can be fully resumed from the 3rd month onwards.
• The body fully takes on its new shape in 6 months.
